bag happy!

I have always wanted to do a curved bottom bag but have been afraid to try it, well today I did and boy am I glad. It is not that hard to do, I think I OVER THINK things at times. Oh well, at least it came out nice.

My Shame

Alright....I'm going to tell you something REALLY embarrassing....don't laugh. I cannot make ANYTHING from a pattern. REALLY!!!! I bought a pattern for pj's for the boys and I bought a whole bunch of flannel. I wanted to get a head start on winter and whip some of these baby's up. Yeah right....I cannot figure heads or tails out of the pattern, I have never made anything from a pattern so I don't even know where to start. Everyone assumes since I sew bags I can make anything, not true. I will probably be able to make the pj's....just not with the pattern. I will have to do what I do best (and what gives my boys a wonderful vocabulary) and wing it! Sooo anyone want a free pattern for boys pj's....lol!

ok, so I thought I was done....then I get a call on Saturday..."Christina is my bag done yet?" wait...who? what?. Seems I totally forgot about making a tote bag for this young lady that is starting college this fall. She wanted a bag for her books. So after some mad sewing...here it is!
it is HUGE.... 20in wide by 15 inches tall. This definitely has been one of the biggest bags I've sewn, but I do have to say.....I LOVE IT!!!! Its a good thing she is picking it up tonight or I might be tempted to try and sew HER something else quick...lol!

Football

This is my 4th post today and my fingers are getting tired. Oh well, they each deserved their own. I had to put this pic on here. It is football time in our house. My husband coaches and my oldest son plays. They practice every night from 5:30 to 8pm, 5 days a week with the games on Saturday. In the beginning it is always tiring to everyone, especially my son. He just about collapses into bed every night....thus this pic
I never knew the wall would make a great pillow, what I love...is he still sleeps with his bear. You can just see the top of him on the bottom left of the pic.

Natalie Jane

I got a little surprise in the mail today....the very beautiful Natalie has sent me some of her gorgeous earring's in trade for one of my bags. I am in total love. I cannot decide which one I like the best, they are all soooo beautiful! Thank you sooo much Natalie. I only hope you like my bag as much as I like the earring's!
